The products
From raw material to your bottle
The ingredient arrives from an established supplier with its own certificate of analysis, and is tested again on arrival so that two independent results agree before anything is made. It is encapsulated in the USA in facilities registered with the FDA and certified to the NSF GMP standard, with nothing else in the capsule but rice flour and, where a powder needs it, a rice-based flow agent. Every step leaves a record, and the lot number on the bottle is the key to all of them.
The ingredient arrives at the facility with the supplier's paperwork.
It is checked to confirm it is what the paperwork says before anything is made.
Capsules are filled and weighed through the run, so each holds the dose on the label.
The finished lot is tested for potency, heavy metals and germs.
A certificate of analysis is written for that lot. Yours is available on request.

How a lot is tested
Nothing ships until the lot has passed four checks.
Every bottle carries a lot number. That number ties it to the batch record, the raw material paperwork and the certificate of analysis for that lot, so any bottle can be traced back to the day it was made and the tests it passed.

Is it the right material?
Before a single capsule is filled, the raw ingredient's infrared spectrum is compared with a reference spectrum to confirm it is what the supplier's paperwork says it is.
Is the dose right?
The finished capsules are assayed by liquid chromatography (HPLC or UPLC) to confirm the amount of active ingredient meets the label. For a lot to be released, the certificate has to show the amount printed on the label, 200 mg for 200 mg. Fill weight is checked as well, and the capsule has to break down within 30 minutes.
Is it clean?
Lead, arsenic and cadmium are measured by ICP-MS and mercury by a direct mercury analyser, and each has to sit under the limit for a daily serving. On a recent L-theanine lot, lead came in at 0.009 micrograms a serving against a limit of 0.5.
Is it safe?
Plate counts to the USP methods have to show no E. coli, Salmonella or Staph, coliforms under 10 per gram, total count under 10,000 and yeast and mould under 1,000.
We make no claims
You will not find a health claim on this site or on our labels.
Most supplements carry a sentence like "supports healthy stress levels*". It is legal, and it is written to sound like a promise without making one. Once you can spot it, you will see it everywhere.
We don't write those sentences. The only claim we make is this: we read the research, it convinced us these were products worth making, and we make them at the dose the studies used. On each product page we list some of the studies we went by, as published, with a link to each paper. We do not tell you what they found; that is for you to read. Whether one is right for you is your call.

Are your products tested by an independent lab?
Yes. Every lot is tested for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbes before it ships, by laboratories independent of SYMNUTRITION, and the results go on the certificate of analysis for that lot.
Can I see a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Email us the lot number from your bottle and we will send the certificate for that lot within two business days.
Where are your products made?
Encapsulated and bottled in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, in facilities registered with the FDA and certified to the NSF GMP standard for dietary supplements.
Are they vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. Vegetable capsules, no animal-derived ingredients, no gluten.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not at the moment. Our products are sold on Amazon.com only.
How do I get a refund?
Email your Amazon order ID to support@symnutrition.com within six months of purchase and we will sort out the refund with you directly through Amazon. No questions asked. Amazon itself lists supplements as non-returnable; our refund is separate from that, so come to us.
